The absence of any serious retention problem to date is matched by a surprisingly buoyant recruiting situation for the HK Military Service Corps [as many as 5 candidates for each place in this year's intake} though the position is less good for the RN whose most recent intake is one-third under subscribed [only 12 out of 18 places have been taken up].
Expectations among the LEPS about a "second chance" for a

Retention of LEC is holding up well.
FINANCIAL RETENTION INCENTIVE
Application for FRI should be withheld for the time being for the following reasons:
No firm evidence yet of need for it, although the fear that any runout could very rapidly gain momentum still exists.
The original redundancy "deal" for LEP appears to have been well received and at the moment is effective.
