Article 11

1.

When one of the situations referred to in Article 10(1)

is likely to occur in the near future and when the interests of

the Community necessitate immediate action, the Commission may,

at the request of a Member State or on its own initiative:

(a) Shorten the period of validity of the import documents within

the meaning of Article 2
