(b) The only air field is KAI TAK. If the use of this Air
Field were denied us we could not operate any land ba aircraft, and the result might be a loss of air superiority, thereby perhaps, sea power, and finally our own ability to offer resistance on land.
The use of the air field could be denied to us by the enemy damaging the runways, physically seizing the Air Field or bringing the air field under effective artillery, motor or small arms fire.
