should be clearly pointed out to him. Mr Humphreysl Mr

Fung Wa Chun, and Mr Lau Chu Pak were of the opinion that the Principal Medical Officer (MIlitary) ought not

to be one of the Unofficial Members. The intention of

the Ordinance giving the Governor power to nominate four

Members was that they should be prominent residents who

had an interest in the Colony and not in any way

Officials. Mr Shelton Hooper considered that if the Principal Medical Officer were a Member of the Sanitary Board, he should be one of the four Official Members.

That the duties of the following Officers should be

enumerated:-

Principal Civil Medical Officer.

Medical Officer of Health.

Building Authority.

Secretary.

Colonial Veterinary Surgeon.

Surveyor.

Senior Inspectors.

Plague Inspectors.

District Inspectors.

Whitewashing Inspectors.

Inspectors of markets.

Inspectors of Slaughter Houses.

Inspectors in charge of Disinfecting Stations.

Foremen.

That all notices as to Nuisances do. should be endorsed.

"If the person affected is dissatisfied he can appeal

to the Sanitary Board's Select Committee of Complaints", That in all matters there should be an easy form of

Appeal.
