FACTORIES AND INDUSTRIAL UNDERTAKINGS (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS 1969.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance, the Commis- sioner of Labour has made the following regulations—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1969 and shall come into operation on the 1st day of October 1969.
2. Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is amended- (a) in the definition of "dangerous occurrence", by deleting
“Schedule” and substituting the following—
"First Schedule";
(8) by adding, after the definition of "dangerous occurrence",
the following new definition-***
* "executive”, in relation to a trade union, means the
body to which the management of the affairs of the trade union is entrusted by the members and also means any person for the time being carrying out the functions of a president, chair- man, vice-chairman, secretary or treasurer of a trade union":
(c) by adding, after the definition of "fire-resisting material".
the following new definition-

"identity card" means an identity card issued under
the Registration of Persons Ordinance;";
(d) by adding, after the definition of "tenement factory", the
following new definition-

****trade union" means a trade union which is regis- tered under the Trade Union Registration Ordinance:".
3. Regulation 5 of the principal regulations is amended by adding, after “quarry", the following—
*** or in any industrial undertaking involving a tunnelling operation".
