EMERGENCY (AMENDMENT OF MAGISTRATES

ORDINANCE) REGULATIONS 1967.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations→→

1. These regulations may be cited as the Emergency (Amendment of Magistrates Ordinance) Regulations 1967.

1. Paragraph 2 of Part III of the Second Schedule to the Magistrales Ordinance is amended by deleting "except an offence against section 40, 42 or 46 of the Larceny Ordinance or section 17 of the Offences against the Person Ordinance or an offence punishable under section 30 of the Arms and Ammunition Ordin- ance" and substituting the following-

"except an offence against section 3 of the Explosive Sub- stances Ordinance, an offence against section 40, 42 or 46 of the Larceny Ordinance or section 17. 28 or 29 of the Offences against the Person Ordinance or an offence punish- able under section 30 of the Arms-and "Ammunition Ordi ance".

Explanatory Note.

(This Note ir not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).

These regulations enable charges for offences against section 3 of the Explosive Substances Ordinance or section 28 or 29 of the Offences against the Person Ordinance to be transferred to the District Court.
