3.
By-law 3 under the heading "GENERAL BY-LAWS of by-law 3 FOR ALL CLASSES OF HAWKERS" of the principal
by-laws is amended by-
under the
heading
"GENERAL
BY-LAWS
FOR ALL CLASHES or HAWKERS".
(a) the substitution of the word "eight" for the word
'seven" in the first line;
(b) the deletion of paragraplı (d) and the substitution therefor
of the following-
"(ZA) Class 4A.-Fixed Pitch Newspaper hawker;
(dB) Class 4B.-Pedlar Newspaper hawker;".
By-law 5 under the heading “GENERAL BY-LAWS of by-law 5 FOR ALL CLASSES OF HAWKERS" of the principal
by-laws is amended by-

4.
(a) the deletion from the second line of the words "and
furnish four copies of his photograph";
(b) the addition at the end thereof of the following-
"Such person shall also furnish four copies of his photograph unless he is an applicant for a Pedlar hawker's licence or for a Pedlar Newspaper hawker's licence, in which case he shall furnish: two copies of his photograph."
Amendment 5. By-law 6 under the heading "GENERAL BY-LAWS of by-law 6 FOR ALL CLASSES OF HAWKERS" of the principal
by-laws is amended by-
under the
heading
"GENERAL BY-LAWS FOR ALL CLASSES OF HAWKERS".
(4) the insertion immediately after the word "hawker" in the
second line of paragraph (1) of the following-
"ather than Class 3 and Class 4B";
(b) the addition at the end of paragraph (1) of the follow-
ing-
"The licence fees for Class 3 and for Class 4B hawkers are specified in the by-laws applicable to those classes.**;
(c) the deletion of paragraph (2) and the substitution therefor
of the following-
(2) If an annual licence, other than a Pedlar hawker's licence or a Pedlar Newspaper hawker's licence, is issued by the Council for the Island of Hong Kong on or after the 1st day of April in any year, or for Kowloon and New Kowloon on or after the 1st day of October in any year, half fce shall be payable.”;
(d) the substitution of a colon for the fullstop in the third line of paragraph (3) and by the insertion immediately thereafter of the following-
"Provided that no duplicate Pedlar hawker's licence nor duplicate Pedlar Newspaper hawker's licence shall be issued unless the licensee furnishes to the Secretary either the number of the original liçence or the date of issue thereof.";
(e) the addition at the end of paragraph (3) of the following—
"If the holder of a Pedlar hawker's licence or of a Pedlar Newspaper hawker's licence fails to furnish either the number of the original licence or the dale of issue thereof, the original licence shall be deemed to have been revoked: Provided however that such holder shall not be precluded thereby from making application in the manner prescribed for a new licence or from being issued with a new licence on payment of the annual fee therefor.”.

By-law & under the heading "GENERAL BY-LAWS Amendment FOR ALL CLASSES OF HAWKERS" of the principal of the
by-law & by-laws is amended by the deletion of paragraplis (1) and (2) and heading the substitution therefor of the following-
*GENERAL BY-LAWS
FOR ALL
"(t) Every annual licence for the Island of Hong Kong, Casa OF other than a Pedlar hawker's licence or a Peillar Newspaper HawEERS”, Gawker's licence, shall expire on the goth day of September. Every annual licence for Kowloon and New Kowloon, other than a Pedlar hawker's licence or a Pedlar Newspaper hawker's licence, shall expire on the 31st day of March.
(2) Pedlar hawker's licences and Pedlar Newspaper hawker's licences shall expire twelve months after the last day of the month preceding the month in which the licence was issued.".
7. By-law 20 under the heading "GENERAL BY-LAWS Amendment FOR ALL CLASSES OF HAWKERS" of the principal by-laws is amended by-
(a) the deletion from the twelfth line of the following-
**Class 4"*
of by-law 20 under the heading "GENERAL BY-LAWS
FOR ALL CLASSES OF HAWKERS".
