RESOLVED that whore an officer who was in the service of this Colony

and the detained in the For Bantorn cron during the period of the Japanese invasion and who retired from the public service

-

and has alud or dies before the first day of lagust, 1952, it dell be leful for the Governor in Council, who donth wita directly attributable to, or the condition resulting in death eggravated by, the circumstances of such detention and without his own default, to grant a pension ox gentia to the wider and children of such officer, calculated in nepordance with tiu provisions of bection 18 of the Pansions Ordianco, 1932 (now repealed), or if such officer was a police officer in accoriu100 with regulation 14 ande under the Police Force Ordinaga, 1932 (um repo÷lod), as though such officer had died at the antc of his retirement, but to be payable from the date of the death of such officer,

RESOLVED FURDHSH that any pension granted hereunder shall be subject to the same conditions as those to which it would have boon subject bid it boon granted under the provisions of the acction of the Ordine or regulition in accordance with the provisions of which it was onlculated.

The Honourable P. 8. Cassidy pursuant to notico, will ask the following
