In exurging of the povere conferred by section 3 of the Pensions Ordlungo, 1949, the Governor in Council, with the sanction of the Booretary of Steto end the prior approval of Legislative Council ackos the following regulations
Citation.
Amendment of regulation 15 of the principel regulations.
REGULATIOTE.
These regulations why bu cited as the Pansions (Amendment) Regulations, 1950, and all be rend as one with the Pensions Repilotlona, 1949, hereinafter referred to co the princip.1 regil:tions,

Regulation 15 of the principal regulations fo hereby amanded by the addition of a further paragraph at the end thereof us follows –
*(3) (c) a brock in the service of on officer cocurring wholly between the 12th day of July, 1946, and the 23rd day of July, 1946) oz bebreon the 16th day of August, 1947, and the 23rd day of September, 1947, as result of the voluntary abance from the place of employment of such officer shall be disregarded for the purpose of computing the length of service qualifying for pension, conucl allowance or gratuity: Provided that any such break in service ah:11 not be disregarded in determining the naount of such pensiou, rontal Allamanga or gratuity.
(b) Paragraph (3) of this regulation ahnil be douted to have had effect from 1st January, 1947. in relation of offisure to when Trt v of these regulationS do not apply chid from the 9th Doceribor, 1949, in relation to officers to whom Part V of theau regulations apply,”
The Attorney Generel to nove the following resolution :-

Resolved that' annual allownous and gratuitios should be granted,
cx gratia, in respect of the officers set out in the Schedules hereto, computed according to the provisions of the Fonajons Ordiannec, 1932, and the regul tions made thorounder (now repooled or revoked) ns though such Özdimnce and regulations had not been repedled or revoked':
Except that a brock in serviçu phall be disregarded in computing the longth of sorviou for the purpose of qualifying for such annual allowance or gratuity when such break odourrud ;-
(4) in respoot of the service of officers arood in the
First Schedule between the 16th August, 1947, and 11th September, 1947; or
(b) in respect of the service of the officer nemuå in th Second Schedule between the 12th July, 1946, and tho 23rd July, 1946.
Provided that any such brock in service shu.ll not be disregarded
in computing the length of service for the purpose of determining the norit of auch annul allownoo or gratuity.

Coimgil, the Bill intituled "An Ordinance to amond the Jury Ordinanco, 1887" as reported by the Select Committee and as published in the Gazette of 22nd September, 1950, bo substituted for the Bill as read a Scaond time and that Concil resolve itself into Goodttee to consider the Bill as substitutod.
