Quarters, Happy Valley Quarters, Ventris Road Quarters, Cape D'Aguilar Wireless Station, Junior Technical School and No. 6 Police Station.
A 10,000 gallons covered concrete storage tank together with the necessary piping, channelling etc., was constructed near the small nullah to the west of the Slaughter House, to store nullah water for washing down the floors, etc.
The electrical installations were maintained in good order. 1,650 fans and 349 radiators were cleaned and overhauled. Fifty-eight fans and motors were completely rewound and forty-seven radiators were fitted with new elements. Work was carried out in connection with additions and alterations to thirty-three buildings on seventy-two lights and power points. Typhoon lanterns at Lyeemun, Gough Hill, Harbour Office, Waglan and Gap Rock Lighthouses were maintained in good order. Electrical installations in 131 Government buildings were tested and fifty-five inventories of electrical fittings issued. Fire alarm bell and lightning conductor systems in Government buildings were also maintained in a satisfactory manner.

Improvements to Buildings:-The principal improvements carried out under this heading were as follows:- Supreme Court-installed W.Cs. and constructed extra cell accommodation, Central Fire Station-provided cement curbs to all verandahs, Queen's Pier-relaid drains, Government House-supplied various W.I. grills, Post Office Building-alterations to store and new counter, Central Police Station-extended furniture store, Two Latrines on Praya-reconstructed entrances, Belilios School-alterations to windows and new water supply tanks, Bacteriological Institute-alterations to laboratory and store, also windows and jalousies, fixed steel windows to existing openings, Caine Road Police Quarters-alterations to main entrance, rebuilt playground fence and provided concrete paths, Tsan Yuk Hospital-new concrete fire escape, King's College-extended existing partitions, Kennedy Town Kennels additions and alterations, Western District Sanitary Office-alterations to stables to accommodate coolies, Aberdeen Police Station-provided hot water system to Inspectors' quarters, Central Medical Store-converted two rooms into liquid store, new H.W. partition and store rack, Junior Technical School-various alterations, Electrical Workshop-fixed four sun canopies, Wanchai Sanitary Office-installed flush
