The following figures show the extent of the operations carried out at the Government Quarry, Tsat Tze Mui, during the year: A total quantity of 38,507 cubic yards of various grades of stones were passed through crushers, of which 16,765 cubic yards were made into tar macadam, 1,572 cubic yards into sand carpeting and 20,170 cubic yards were delivered to various works as the material came from crushers. 10,718 granolithic paving slabs were provided for use on footways; thirty-eight reinforced concrete standards for railings; seven garden seats, forty-one wooden notice boards and one rubber squeegee were made.

The following are particulars of the additional areas laid with improved surfacing during the year:-
