144. Kowloon Hospital Additions:- This work which was completed in February was referred to in paragraph 149 of last year's Report. Additional work which comprised levelling and turfing of certain portions of the site was carried out by Messrs. Foo Loong & Co. The contract for this was let on the 26th November and is to be completed in 1935.

145. New Residence for Director of Royal Observatory :- This work which was completed in February was referred to in paragraph 152 of last year's Report.

146. New Central British School-Site Formation:- This work was referred to in paragraph 153 of last year's Report. The levelling of the whole site and approach road was continued throughout the year but progress was slow. The monthly output was improved during the latter part of the year consequent upon reorganisation of the work. The total quantity excavated from the hill amounted to 416,000 cubic yards.

147. Mong Kok Tsui, New Market:- This work which was referred to in paragraph 154 of last year's Report consisted of the erection of a market in reinforced concrete providing accommodation for twenty stalls, a poultry killing room, quarters for the Sanitary Department staff and a latrine in brickwork. The stalls were finished in Terrazzo and suitably fitted up for butchers, fishmongers, poulterers, vegetable and fruit sellers use. A contract was let combining this and Tong Mi Market on the 8th August to Messrs. Sang Tai & Co. The work was completed satisfactorily on the 8th December.

148. Market at Tong Mi:- The work was carried out and completed in similar materials and manner to the market at Mong Kok Tsui except that thirty-two stalls were provided in place of twenty-vide the preceding paragraph. Messrs. Sang Tai & Co. carried out the contract which was completed satisfactorily on the 8th December.

149. Kowloon Hospital Out-patients Department:- This building consists of a waiting hall around which are planned five consulting rooms, ophthalmic room, minor operating theatre, dispensary, laboratory, sterilizer room and the necessary lavatories and stores. At the east end of the building there
