6. Revenue Surveys and General.-Surveys were made in detail for plans (quad.) to be attached to Crown Lease, of 339 lots. The following surveys in detail were made and plotted viz.: A contour survey of Waglan Island, plotted to a scale of 246 or 20 ft. to 1 inch with vertical intervals of 5 ft. survey, 16 acres in extent, also included details of all buildings and high and low water marks. A further area of 3 acres was contoured at Jardines Look-Out and plotted to a scale of ... An area of 13 acres at Victoria Peak was also contoured and plotted to ... 4 with 5 ft. vertical intervals.

At Hok Sui Wan 4 acres were contoured and plotted to a scale of ... with 10 ft. vertical intervals.

The survey of Stanley Village and cultivated area Stanley Peninsula which includes Wong Ma Kok was completed, the total area being 174 acres and the total length of traverses over 16 miles. The average mis-close being 1 in 7,700. This was plotted to a scale of ... on the survey sheets of the Colony.

An area at Cheung Sha Wan of about 28 acres was contoured and plotted to a scale of ... with 10 ft. vertical intervals.

An area of 56 acres between Argyle Street and Kowloon Cemeteries was contoured and also plotted, the scale being ... and vertical intervals of 10 ft.

The catchment area to the reservoir at the Kowloon Tong Estate was defined, the area enclosed being 135 acres. Boundaries of 323 lots were defined on the ground for building areas, 94 of these being on the Praya East Reclamation. Boundary Stones were fixed to 260 lots. Thirty two picket boxes were fixed in roads for marking permanent traverse points. The boundaries of a number of lots were defined for the Drainage, General Works and Roads Offices. Two hundred and twenty-six frontage lines to streets were checked.

Many surveys of miscellaneous character were carried out viz for plans required to be attached to deeds of surrender, plans for areas about to be sold, plans for the Police Dept. in connection with criminal charges etc. and various plans for departmental use.
