199. Police Station, Shamshuipo.-This work, referred to in paragraph 202 of last year's Report was completed in 1925, only the payment for the sanitary and hot water systems remained to be made.

201. Provision of Mosquito-proofing to Police Stations at Taipo, Shatin, Ta Ko Ling and Sha Tau Kok and Fly-proofing to the Kitchens at Sheung Shui.-This work, referred to in paragraph 248 of last year's Report was completed satisfactorily during the year and also the fly-proofing of the kitchens at Sheung Shui Police Station, which the scheme had been extended to include.

Magnetograph House and Magnetic Hut at Au Tau, New Territories. A contract was let to Mr. Man Gang for the sum of $11,285.95 on the 10th of December, 1926. The buildings required under the contract were (a) Magnetograph House and (b) Magnetic Hut. The former consists of an inner and an outer chamber.
Very good progress was made during the year.
1926 Special Vote, $14,000.00 1926 Expenditure, $5,950.00203. Underground Telephone Cable between Kowloon and Fanling.—This work was referred to in paragraph 219 of last year's Report. Nine miles of aerial lines between Kowloon and a point about two miles north of Shatin were put underground during the year, thereby completing this work.
