93. Maintenance of Waterworks at Laichikok.-The total quantity of water supplied during the year amounted to 57.24 million gallons which is a decrease of 7.12 million gallons compared with 1925, or an average consumption of 156,000 gallons per day.

The temporary waterboat supplies which were in operation at the Praya East Reclamation ceased at the end of September, and a total of 70.62 million gallons was supplied from this

source.

From 1st October all waterboat supplies were drawn from the new Laichikok Waterboat Dock.

Details of consumption are given in Annexe J.

There were 17 meters in use at the close of the year.

94. Water Account (Meters &c.).-The number of meters

examined and repaired during the year was 61.

The following is a statement of expenditure under the vote:
