(f) Access Road from Tsun Wan to the site of the Water Works at Shing Mun Valley.-This work was referred to in paragraph 196 (i) of last year's Report.
Progress was very poor on both sections, but by the end of the year the 1st section, 1.1 miles in length, had been completely excavated. Approximately half of the excavation on the 2nd section, 0.82 mile in length, had been removed by the end of the year.

(a) Waterloo Road Extension (100 feet wide) Section between Kowloon Boundary to foot of hills S.E. of Tunnel (estimate for 50 foot width).—This work was referred to in paragraph 196 (j) of last year's Report.
It was carried out at a satisfactory rate of progress, having regard to the necessity of pushing the other items under the contract connected with the development of the area for the use of the Kaulungtong Development Company.

The extension of Coronation Road Northwards from the old boundary was begun in May and by the end of the year the culvert, on a grillage foundation, was completed and the embankment half formed.
