(2). Installation of a 1 K.W. Valve Transmitter at the General Post Office.

(3). Laying of an underground cable to Cape D'Aguilar, via Shek O.

(4). Provision of a meter transformer for power supply to Cape D'Aguilar.

(5). Wireless Installation at the Water Police Station, Tsim Sha Tsui. Cheung Chau Police Station. on the Rescue Tug. Police Patrol Launches. at the Harbour Office. Waglan Light House.

The above works will involve a total expenditure of about $200,000.00,

Praya East Reclamation Scheme.

157. Drainage.-The work of re-drainage of the existing developed area between Arsenal Street, Causeway Bay, Queen's Road and the Existing Praya rendered necessary by the Praya East Scheme was continued during the year.

The following sewers were completed :-

12" in Tai Woo Street; 6" and 9" in Wanchai Road; 12" in Jardine's Bazaar; 6" in Cross Street; 18" in Praya East, Percival Street to Jardine's Bazaar; 9" North of Wanchai Market; 12" in Praya East; 9" Spring Garden Lane, 9" and 6" in Barrows Street and Cross Lane.

The following storm-water drains were completed:-

33" and 72" dia. culverts, Wanchai Road; 48" and 60" dia. culverts, Recreation Grounds, Happy Valley: 42" dia. culvert, Spring Garden Lane; 24" dia. culvert, Bullock Lane and Cross Lane; 12" storm water drain to Tai Woo Street; 9" storm water drain North of Wanchai Market; 15" and 12" storm water drains in Cross Lane; 9" storm water drain to Triangle Street.

158. Improvements at Arsenal Street,—Resumption and alteration of buildings.--This item was referred to in paragraph 159 (6) of last year's Report. The necessary resumptions had not been effected at the end of the year and no expenditure was incurred during the year.
