(6.)—Orders issued by Officer Commanding Mainland Section.
(i.) At the Precautionary Stage.
1. Drawing Equipment.-In accordance with General Order No.
of to-day, Os.C. units will detail parties to draw their equipment (precautionary stage) from such places as are named in the Issue Orders in their possession at the hours named in the attached time table.
The Staff Officer, Mainland Section, will be present to superintend the issue of such stores as are ordered to be drawn from the Ordnance Depôt in Kowloon West Fort and Whitfield Barracks. At the precautionary stage Os.C. units will draw field dressings for full strength and issue them as required.
2. Transport.-O.C. transport arranges for all transport required, as laid down in Table G (ii), Chapter III. (No requisitions need be submitted.)
3. The O.C. No. 1 Battalion British Infantry will draw all equipment and stores for--
(a.) His own detail (including 22 B.I. telephonists).
(b.) R.E.
(c.) Hong Kong Mounted Troop.
4. The O.C. No. 2 Battalion Native Infantry will draw all equipment and stores for---
(a.) His own detail (including extra signalling equipment). (b.) Medical details, Customs Pass.
5. The O.C.H.K.S.B. R.G.A. will arrange to draw for R.G.A. details all necessary equipment and all stores special for moving guns into position, and store them at Gun Club Hill.
6. Guards.---The O.C. No. 2 Battalion Native Infantry will furnish the following guards, to be relieved weekly-
Cable End to North Point (near Kowloon East).. Cable End to Lyemun (shore near Devil's Peak).. Cable End to Yaumati (to Stonecutters) Hung Hom Docks

The O.C.H.K.S.B. R.G.A. will arrange for the safeguarding of the magazine and stores in Kowloon East and West Forts.
7. Rations.--Rationing as in peace time, but all detachments proceeding from headquarters will go out with two days' rations from the units reserve. This will be carried with the meu's kits and kept as a reserve. Telephonists and departmental British details at Sacred Hill will be attached to the company of British infantry at Dairy Farm for rations. Dock and cable guards will be rationed by the O.C. unit furnishing the guard.
8. Distribution.—The distribution of troops at this stage is as given in Table B (i),
Chapter II.
9. The Section Commander assumes entire command of all details allotted to his section at the precautionary stage.
