Compare with the campaign in Albania, distances in Egypt are en mous. Taking into account both Libya and Italian East Africa, the front extends 3,500 miles, or longer thanšike Canadian-American frontier. Present operations from the viewpoint of the mechanised army are most timely as the sand is much harder now then at any other time of the year.
