Imports during 1938 totallod $618,168,937, an increase of $1,104,970 over 1937, Exports totalled $511,902,277, an increase over 1937 of $44,579,556.
The Colony's adverse trade balance, which was $149,741,246 in 1937, was only $106,266,660 in the period under review.
