ARMENIAN MASSACRES.
LORD ROBERT CECIL SPEAKS OUT.
November 17, 3.00 a.m.
In the House of Commons, during a discussion on the Armenian masaures, Lard Robert Coil said there had been no more horrible crime in the history of the world. The only mitigation was that it was in no wise a religious movement. Pious Mo-lems everywhere in the world reprobated the Armenian horrors as much as we did. The massacres were entirely unprovoked. The suggestion that British Agents incited the Armenians to rebellion was utterly false. The greatest protection for the Armeniana was our victory in this war, and all our resources must be devoted to forcing the enemy to accept the Allies' terms of pace.
Lord Robert added that we had telegraphed to General Nixan in Mesopotamia to try and induce the Arab tribes to assist the Armenian refugeas.
