Movers. Wright and Hornby, in their share report dated January 30, atale :-

A fair amount of business has been transacted during the week and the market closes firm. The steady rise in Langkets bas restored confidence to "a" considerable extent in the speculative "market.

Far Silver is quoted at 22,5/8 per on. ready, market quiet.

Exchange on London opened to-day at 1/9,1/8 T.T.

Banka. Hongkong and Shanghai Banks have bean in good demand, and the price has risen from $790 to $825 buyers with sales at intermediate ratos.'

Marine Insurances.--Cantons are still offering at $340 and are without business to report, North Chimas ara wanted at $160, Unions at $800, and Yougtezee at $205, Ex. 73.8310 and

Fire Insurances-China Fires are steady at $150, and Hongkong Firea bave been placed at $385, closing with buyere at $300. Shipping.--Chins and Manilas have changed hands at 851 and 36, closing in demand at the latter figure. Douglasen ere allering af $30, Indo-Chinos at $60, and Star Ferries at 837. Hongkong Canton & Macao Steamboata have changed bands at $19, $10) and $191, oloring steady at the latter figura, subject to audit the directors bave declared a final dividend of 40 cents per share for the latter half of 1914, making 6 par cent. in all for the year. Shell Transports are quoted at 82/- nominel
