Edinburgh, July 25. Mr. John Grierson, the Scottish airman, took off in his seaplane from Rochester, Kent, early yes- terday on the first hop fight along the Arctic route to Ottawa,

Mr. Grierson is known among flyers as an all-weather pilot. He is carrying a special wireless set. hoped to make his first hop to Londonderry yesterday, and will carry on by way of Greenland and Hudson Bay to Ottawa,
