The 1933-1934 Soccer league season was officially opened on Saturday when no less than 11 matches were played in all three divisions. With the exception of one, the results were as expected.
In the Senior division, the Club beat the Royal Ar- tillery, while Kowloon were narrowly beaten by the Lin- colns. An unpleasant incident marred the Police Recreio being given match two players-Moss and Bowern “marching orders."
The surprise of the day was the defeat of the Bor derers, last year's runners-up, by the Royal Navy in the Second Division. The Chinese Athletics, last year's champions, maintained their old form, defeating the Clab, while the Lincolns went down to South China.
The R.A.M.C., new comers to the League made a promising debut in the Third Division by beating the University 10-1.
