CONTRACT FOR SPORE HARBOUR

Singapore, Aug, 12.. In competition with firms only in Malaya but also in Hong Kong, the Singapore Harbour Board have secured the contract to build a handsome fiew, coasting vessel for the Sarawak Steamship Company.
The Machinery is being supplied by the company but the total cost of the vessel will be about $150,000, su the contract is a substantial one to the Harbour Board.
The vessel will be named Resang, and it will replace a much smaller craft, the Bri Mukas, on the ser- vice between Kuching and Sibu up.
