We think that motor and steel issues promise to lead the market and believe that there are prospects for higher prices early next week. Wheat: A persistent broad and general demand from houses with Eastern connections, inspired by a fack of improvement in the crop report and rumours that Australía is agreeing to a crop re- striction programme, was responsible for an advance. There was a slight recession near the close. Cotton: There has been a good general demand. The development of crop abandonment will be an important factor from now on. The weather is unfavourable. Silver: Quiet. A narrow market, with the chief demand coming from investors. Business Done: 1,700,000 shares.
