Manchester Chamber of Commerce record substantial in erenes in the exporta of cotton goods to the Far East during 1932 as compared with 1931. These in- creases, however, have given rise to no optimism, for the report of the Indis Section, after referring to the change from a succession of decreases, proceeds: The best that can be said is that shipments in
the last twelve months have been larger than they were in 1931. There is still much leeway to regain."
