DECISIONS AT MEETING.

Arrangements for the carrying out of the League and other lawn bowls competitions during the season were made at the annual general meeting of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Associa- : tion held yesterday. Eight teams entered in each Division, the some as last year. A proposal was made and agreed to by the meeting that the best of three games instead of one should decide" the winner of the Interport matches. The suggestion will be passed on to Shanghai for their views.

Lawn bowls activities during last season were reviewed by the Chair.) man, Mr. Bi Wylie, who addressed the meeting as follows:-.

CHINESE NAVAL" MISSION.

PLYMOUTH OFFICERS' CORDIAL RECEPTION.

Officers of the Chinese Naval Mission, who arrived at Plymouth during. February, says the Naval and Military Record, made a tour of Devonport harbour and Dock- yard, paying visits to the cadet training ship Erebus, the newly- delivered destroyer Acaata, and the now, China Station submarine Otu. Another association with the Far Enst they met with was the big bell on the lawn in front of Admiralty- House, which the late Admiral of the Fleet Sir Edward Seyman? brought from China when he was Commander-in-Chief there, during the Boxer troubles.

Before commencing their visits, the members of the Mission called upon the Commander-in-Chief (Ad- miral the Hon. Sir Hubert Brand) at Admiralty House, Devonport.

With Admiral Brand were Vic Admiral D. Backhouse (Admiral Superintendent of the Dockyard), Capt. J. M. Pipon (chief of staff), Comdr. T. B. Fellowes (ataff offi cer), Paymr.-Comdr. L. N. Samp- son (admiral's secretary), and Flag- Licat.-Comdr. J. 5. Baker.

The members of the Mission are Admiral Tu (Tu Hsei Kuei), High Commissioner for Study of Navies

Abroad; Comdr. S. C. Whang, Lieut. Comdr. M. H. Ching, and Mr. H. K. Tong and Mr. K. C. Kao, secretaries. They were accCÓM- panied by Lieut.-Comdr. J. F. W. Mudford, R.N., of H.M.S. Vernon, who is attached to the Mission as liaison officer and is acting as prin- cipal conducting officer.

Another important decision reach ed was as to the method of deciding the winner of the League in case of a tie in points between two or more Clubs at the end of the season.
