A division of Canadian troops has been transported across the Atlantic escorted by the main battle fleet of the Royal Navy and is now in England.
This disclosure was made last night by Mr. Winston Churchill, First Lord of the Admiralty, in a broadcast.
The Canadian troops, he said, con- stitute the leading division of the Do- minion forces which are to be brought to England.
They were strongly escorted across the ocean by our main battle fleet and disembarked safely and smoothly in one of our harbours for a period of in- tensive training before joining their comrades on the western front.-Reu- ter.
