At the annual meeting of the Lawn Bowls Association yesterday the President (Mr. B. Wylie), in reviewing the events of the past year, said in part:-

FOOTBALL SHIELD

Club de Recreio Beat the Police

The replay between the Club de Recreio and Hong Kong Police in the second round of the Challenge Shield took place yesterday on the Kowloon F.C. ground. Wynne of; the Police had to be carried off the field befure, the final whistle sounded as the result of a collision with A. Gosano. The Club de Re- ereio enters the semi-final round by three goals to two.
