GERMAN SUBMARINE ATTACK A RUSSIAN CRUISER.

LONDON, Oct. 18.

It has been officially announced in Petrograd, that German sub- zarines on Saturday attacked the cruiser Admiral Makarof which was searching for a quspicious fishing-boat. The submarines fired torpedoes at the Admiral Makaroff but they missed her.

On Sunday the German submarines attacked the cruisers Pallada and Bayan which were patrolling the Baltic. Eath immediately fired heavily, but one submating torpedoed the Pallads which sank, all the crew parishing.
