INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY AND
EFFICIENCY
In order to enhance productivity and cut costs, work procedures in the operational and administration departments were continuously streamlined. The efficiency of the staff was also increased with the
installation of a Local Area Network which connects all the personal computers in the headquarters and
enables all computer users to gain access to relevant information from the Company database.
Due to increase in the bus fleet, there was an
increase in the number of Bus Captains from 5.598 in 1990 to 5,782 in 1991. Administrative and other
staff, however, saw a decrease from 5.012 to 4.796.

為求提高生產力及減低或本起見,運作部門及行政 部門之工作程字已不斷簡化,此外,由於本公司三 裝置一套本地網絡,該網絡可將總部內所有私人電 連繫起來,令所有使用電腦之職員均可由本公司 之資料庫取得有關資料。
