Temporary Bus Depot

A new temporary depot in the Tung Tau Industrial Area, Yuen Long, will replace the existing temporary depot in Fung Kam Street, Yuen Long.

The move is necessitated by environmental considerations following

the

of

construction residential blocks adjacent to the present depot.

The new site, measuring 9,200 square metres, has been acquired on a 5-year tenancy, at an initial annual rent of $2.3 million. The depot is expected to be completed by early July 1992 and will provide 77 parking spaces and space for minor maintenance.

The depot will also have facilities for coin collection, refuelling and bus washing. The estimated construction cost is $10.7 million.

臨時巴士車廠

位於元朗東頭工業區之新建臨時巴士車廠將會取代 現時位於元朗鳳琴街之臨時巴士車廠。由於現有廠 房毗鄰紛紛興建住宅樓宇,基於環境因素,此項搬 遷實屬必要。

新廠房面積九千二百平方米,租約為期五年,每年 租金為二百三十萬元。預期該廠房於一九九二年七 月初落成,將可提供七十七個車位及小型維修之用 地。同時,該廠房亦具備收集輔幣,加油及清洗巴 士之設施。估計建造成本為一千零七十萬元。
