Of the two new Experimental Officer posts, one is required for maintaining seismological equip- ment and the other for leave reserve. These posts are offset by the reduction of one post in the Computer grades. The new posts of Head Computer and Senior Computer arise out of a re-organization of the Computer grades and are offset by an equivalent reduction in the posts of Computer.
Under Other Charges Annually Recurrent there is an increase of $11,200 for expenses in main- taining new seismographs and statistical equipment.
Special Expenditure includes $13,200 for a Rainfall Intensity Investigation to assist the economic design of catchment and drainage, and a revote of $45,000 for a wind-finding radar ordered in 1961-62.
