Land Transfer.

Transfer of existing staff to Land Transfer Of.os.
The salaries of the members of the Land Transfer Board, and of all officers and persons employed in the land transfer oflion, and such incidental expenses of carrying this Act into effect as may be sanctioned by the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, shall be paid out of moneys provided by Parliament.
19. All such persons being at the time at which the Land Transf Board comes into office attached to the office of land registry, may be specified in any order of the Lord Chancellor, shall, on and after such time, be attached to the Land Transfer Office stituted by this Act.

The persons so attached shall, so far as possible, have the relative rank, hold their offices by the same tenure and #pon the terms and conditions, and receive the same salaries, and, if entitled to pensions or superannuation allowances, be entitled to the same pensions or superannuation allowances, as if this Act had not 15 passed; and their service under this Act shall, as regards their claim to pension or superannuation allowance, be deemed continuance of their former service: Provided that for the purposes of this section any person attached to the office of land registry who may be made a member of the Land Transfer Board shall be deemed 20 to hold the same rank or a rank superior to that which he held under the principal Act.
The Lord Chancellor may, by order, distribute the business to be performed in the Land Transfer Office as constituted under this Act amongst the several officers attached thereto by this section, in such 25 manner as he may think just; and such officers shall perform such duties in relation to the said business as may be directed by such order, with this qualification, that the duties required to be per- formed by any officer shall, unless such officer otherwise consents, be such as the Lord Chancellor may determine to be the same as 80 or analogous to those which he performed previously to the passing
of this Act.
The officers of the Land Transfer Office shall for all the purposes of the Land Registry Act, 1862, so far as it will remain in operation after the passing of this Act, and for all the purposes of the Im. 85 provement of Land Act, 1861, and of the Mortgage Debenture Act, 1888, be deemed to be officers acting under the Land Registry Aot, 1862, and having to discharge the duties belonging to officers acting under that Act.
Any persons attached to the office of land registry who may not be transferred in pursuance of this section to the Land Transfer Office shall cease to hold offics, and receive such compensation (if
