Land Transfer.
the Land Transfer Office shall be deemed to be proceedings before 4.D. 1006. the registrar within the meaning of the principal Act. Moreover, and without prejudice to the foregoing provisions of this section, any summons or instrument under the seal of the Land Transfor 5 Board shall be of the same validity and have the same effect for
the purposes of the principal Act and this Act as if it summons or writing under the hand of the registrar.
The Lord Chancellor may also, by any general or special order, from time to time delegate to any officer or officers in any branch 10 office either jointly or separately any of the powers by this Act rested in the Land Transfer Board, subject to such conditions and with such qualifications as to the Lord Chancellor may seem expedient, with power to rescind, amend, or add to any order made in pursuance of this section as he thinks it.

17. The Land Transfer Board shall be a body corporate by that Incorpore- name, with a common seal, and having a capacity to acquire and we of hold land for the purpose of their establishment without any license Transfer in mortmain.

The Lord Chancellor may also from time to time by order direct senin. 30 the preparation of a seal for any branch office.
Judicial notice shall be taken by all courts of justice of the corporate seal of the board, and of the seals of any branch office, and any instrument purporting to be sealed with any such seal shall be admissible in evidence, and if a copy shall be admissible in 35 like manner as the original.

The members of the Land Transfer Board shall, subject to the provisions in this Act mentioned with respect to existing officers in the event of their being appointed members of such board, be deemed to be in the permanent civil service of Her Majesty.
The district registrars, examiners of title, officers, clerks, mes- sengers, and servants other than the members of the Land Transfer Board shall hold their offices by such tenure and in such manner as the Lord Chancellor may with the concurrence of the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury determine.
18. Subject to the provisions in this Act contained with respect Fayment of to existing officers, the members of the Land Transfer Board, and offers. the district registrars, examiners of title, officers, olerks, messengers, and servants in the London and district offices shall receive such salaries or remuneration as the Commissioners of Her Majesty's 40 Treasury may from time to time, with the concurrence of the Lord
