Of the wardens the half to go out on the first occasion shall, unless A.D. 1886, the warden can agree amongst themselves, be chosen by lot. In subsequent years, the half to go out shall be those who have been wardens for the longest time without re-election.
The first valuation list made in pursuance of the provisions of this Act with fespect to the valuation of property shall be made in the first year, commencing on the sixth day of April next after the first election of a county council under this Act, and section forty- two of the Valuation of Property Metropolis Act, 1869, as applied 10 by this Act, shall be construed as if the first year after the election of a county council under this Act were there substituted for "the first year after the passing of this Act.”
The persons holding at the passing of this Act the office of coroner, clerk of the peace, or any office under the above Acts 15 shall be officers transferred to the county council within the mean- ing of the enactments respecting such officers, and the coroner shall have jurisdiction as one of the county coroners, as if the borough were a district of the county, but it shall not be necessary upon his vacating his office for the county council to appoint a coroner for 20 the borough.
