13. All canteens and institutes will be closed.
14. Major (second in command) is appointed to command the remainder of the regiment, which will be considered the Victoria Reserve.
He will place himself in communication with the C.S.O., and take his orders from him as to any subsequent move of the men under his command.
15. The trained signallers of the regiment are placed at the disposal of the Brigade Signalling Officer, who will detail them to Sections of the Defence.
16. A guard-2 sergeants, 2 corporals, 1 bugler, and 16 privates, to be furnished by
Company-will at once proceed by route march to the Aberdeen Dock, to assist the dock authorities in the protection of the docks. The senior sergeant will report his arrival to the dock manager or his representative.
This guard will remain permanently at the docks, will be rationed for two days, and be issued with 200 rounds of ball ammunition per rifle.
The dock manager has been asked to retain this guard, but, if he is unable to do so, indents for rations must be submitted by 10 o'clock daily to the Section Coinmander, No. III Section at the Sanitarium.

1. In accordance with Garrison Order No. of to-day's date, No. 1 double company, under the command of
will parade on the regimental parade ground at o'clock (to-morrow), and proceed by route march and launch to Stone- cutters, the Section of the Defence to which it has been allotted. It will embark at Kowloon Police Pier at o'clock, and disembark at Stonecutters East.
Nos. 2 and 3 double companies, with 2 Maxim guns, under the command of will parade at the same hour and place, and proceed by route march and launch to Kowloon City, the headquarters of the Section of Defence to which they have been allotted. They will embark at Blackhead's Pier at
o'clock, and dis- embark at Kowloon City Pier. No. 4 double company will remain at headquarters and form part of the Kowloon Reserve.
Dress Marching order, khaki, water-bottles filled, and one day's cooked rations in haversacks.
5,500 rounds of ball ammunition per Maxim gun, and 100 rounds per rifle, and 24 rounds per pistol, to be issued by the Quartermaster, who will also at once issue all mobilization equipment on regimental charge proportionately to all companies.
2. The Quartermaster will adopt the following procedure in issuing ammunition :- If sufficient ammunition is in store, including musketry practice ammunition, to complete the whole regiment and Maxim guns to the amounts detailed above, he will issue it accordingly.
If, however, sufficient ammunition is not available in store, he will first complete the pouch ammunition of the two detachments taking the field, and issue the balance, if any, to the Maxim guns, and at once indent on the Ordnance Department for the deficiency, to complete the pouch ammunition of the whole regiment, which will be issued immediately on receipt. He will also indent on the Ordnance Department for the 1st and 2nd Reserve ammunition for the double company allotted to the Kowloon Reserve.

by drafts from No. 4 double company, these drafts being composed of such castes as are suitable to them.
4. Men's kits limited to 40-lb. per man, and officers' kits limited to 200-lb. (including camp equipage). Officers' mess stores, all mobilization equipment which has been issued, and Maxim guns, will be conveyed by fatigue parties from the double companies concerned, and stacked at the Blackhead's Wharf and Police Pier ready for removal on arrival of the water transport, care being taken that the stores of the two detachments does not become mixed. Officers Commanding detachments will detail the necessary baggage guards.
The Officers Commanding Nos, 1 and 2 detachments will each detail an escort of 1 British officer, 1 N.C.O., and 6 men to attend at the Ordnance Office at the hour
