o'clock to-morrow and proceed by route march to the Sanitarium, the headquarters of the Section of the Defence to which they are allotted.
Companies, under command of
, will parade at
(Two) the same hour on the regimental parade ground, Mount Austin Barracks, and await further orders. These companies have been allotted to the Peak Section of the Defence, of which the headquarters is Mount Austin Barracks.
The officers in command of the two detachments will report themselves on arrival to the Officers Commanding their Sections of the Defence, and take orders from them regarding their disposition.
2. The above-mentioned companies will be brought up to full strength by drafts in the case of No. 1 detachment from
Companies, and in the case of No. 2 detachment from
Companies.
All men on guard, regimental employ, &c., of the companies comprising the above detachments, will join their companies immediately on relief, which will be arranged by the Adjutant.
3. Marching order, khaki, water-bottles filled, and one day's cooked rations to be carried in haversacks.
4. 100 rounds of ball ammunition per rifle, and 24 rounds per pistol, to be carried in pouches.
5. The Quartermaster will at once draw from the Ordnance Department any ammunition which is required to complete the pouch ammunition up to the scale mentioned in preceding paragraph, for the whole regiment. He will first issue from store the number of rounds required to complete the pouch ammunition of the companies proceeding to Sections of the Defence, and as much Maxim ammunition up to 5,500 rounds per Maxim as he has at his disposal, utilizing practice ammunition for this purpose.
Officers Commanding companies will ensure that the pouch ammunition of their men is complete.
6. The Quartermaster will at once issue all mobilization equipment on regimental charge proportionately to the above companies.
7. Officers' baggage limited to 120-lb. per officer men's kits limited to 40-lb. per man, officers' mess stores, and all mobilization equipment issued, and Maxim guns, will be stacked separately by detachments at

o'clock, ready for removal on arrival of coolies.
8. The Officers Commanding Nos. 1 and 2 detachments will each detail a responsible officer and an escort of 1 N.C.O. and 6 men to attend at the Ordnance Office at the time which will be notified to them by the Camp Adjutants of their Sections of Defence, to assist in drawing the 1st and 2nd Reserve ammunition, camp equipage, and field equipment for their detachments, and in escorting it to section. headquarters. Care should be taken to insure that no coolies desert.
On arrival at section headquarters the coolies will be made over to the Camp Adjutant of the Section of Defence, who will arrange for their disposal.
9. No requisition for coolies or transport need be submitted, as the O.C.A.S.C. had information of the numbers required. Intimation must, however, be sent to him of the time and place at which transport will be required.
10. Officers Commanding the detachments above-mentioned will detail baggage guards for the safe conveyance of baggage and the equipment on regimental charge, mentioned in paragraph 7, to their section headquarters. These guards will see that no coolies desert, and that, on completion of their work, they are handed over to the Staff Officer of the section.
11. The following are detailed as telephone operators to Sections of Defence (8 privates). They will proceed at once to the telegraph school, Wellington Barracks, and report themselves to the O.C. Submarine Mining Company R.E., who will detail them to Sections of Defence, and give them their orders. The Officers Commauding Nos. 1 and 2 detachments will detail two telephone operators each for their Sections of Defence.
12. Requisitions for rations will be sent in daily by O.C. detachments to the Staff Officers of their sections by 10 A.M. These indents should include requisitions for light and fuel.
