4. Ammunition.-150 rounds per man will be carried on person, and 150 rounds (first reserve) by transport.
5. Rations and Fuel.-Two days' reserve rations and fuel will be taken, but are not to be consumed without orders.
Officers Commanding Sub-sections will indent for further rations, as laid down in Mainland Section Orders, (5), paragraph 9, Chapter V.
6. Medical.-Field Dressings will be issued on Mobilization.
7. Sanitary.-O.C. detachments are responsible for all sanitary arrangements in their vicinity. No one will use water for drinking and cooking purposes which passes through cultivation. Water for troops on the hills will be found close to their positions.
8. Sick. The sick will be treated as laid down in Mainland Section Orders, (5), paragraph 12 of this chapter.
9. O.C.-Section Commander will be at Kowloon.
(ii) War Stage.
10. On the war stage being declared the Mainland Section will be divided into three sub-sections numbered 3, 4, and 5, comprising groups F.G., H.I., and J.K. respectively, with local reserve and general reserve (see Table B (ii), Chapter II, and Mainland Örders of this chapter).
11. Shortage. All subsidiary divisions of sub-sections are to be maintained at full strength, any deficiency being completed from supports.
12. Ammunition.---Ammunition will be taken as detailed in Mainland Mobilization Orders, War Stage, paragraph 103 of this chapter.
The drill havildar, with 10 men, will proceed to the arsenal to draw the balance to complete complement.
British officers will carry 50 rounds pistol ammunition.
13. Kils. Kits to be taken as per Mainland Mobilization Orders, War Stage, paragraph 105, Chapter V; those of rank and file to include:-

14. Ordnance Equipment. The entrenching tools, &c., will be taken by each separate detachment, and tents, if ordered, from those on charge.
15. Supplies.The two days' reserve rations on charge will be taken by each detachment. These are not to be consumed except with permission.
Each Sub-section Commander will submit an indent (A.B. 55) daily to the A.S.C., Sacred Hill, by 10 A.M., for rations for all under his command for the day following.
16. Transport. On arrival at their several positions, detachments will send back their coolies under escort to a collecting station decided by Sub-section Commanders, who, in turn, will arrange to escort the whole to Whitfield Barracks.
17. Dressing Station. Dressings will be established at Sacred Hill under the orders of the Medical Officer, Mainland Defence.

18. Spare Rifles. All spare rifles will be sent to the Quarter Guard. Two movable arm racks being supplied by the double company situated near the guard.
