SHARE REPORT.
HONGKONG, 23rd May. The general stagna tion in our market has continued during the week under review, and there is again but little business to report.
BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais have been placed in small lots at $590, and are fur- ther enquired for at the rate. London still quotes £63.
MARINE INSURANCES.-Unions have under- gone no change, and can still be placed in small lots at $590. China Traders are easier with sellers at $57, and somewhat less would probably result in business. Yangtszes continue in de- mand, and can be placed at $125. Cantons are steady at $170.
FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkong Fires are neglected at $330. Chinas have sold at $80, and are further on offer.
SHIPPING.-Hongkong, Canton and Macaos have been placed a $38). Indo-Chinas under a disappointing final dividend of 6 per cent., as against 10 per cent. last year, have receded to $126 at which, however, there are some buyers. Douglases bare sold at $43) and $44, and are wanted at the higher rate. Star Ferries are on offer at $20 (old) and $11) (new) er the divi- dend of 12 per cent, paid on the 24th instant. Shell Transports have been sold at £1. 12s. 6d. and £1. 158. 'd, and continue in request at the lat'er figure,
REFINERIES.-China Sugars are lower at $116 with sales. Luzons continue on offer at $25.
MINING-Panjoms have eased off to $51 sellers. Charbonnages can be placed at $600 Jelebus have receded to $2 with sellers. Raubs after sales at $9 are offering at the quotation.
DOCKS, WHARves and GodoWNS.-Hong. kong and Whampoa Docks are still out of favour and on offer at $240. Hongkong and Kowloon Wharves have declined to 287 sellers. New Amoy Docks continue in request at $35.
LANDS, HOTELS AND BUILDINGS.-Hong- kong Lands after sales at $177) have eased off, and can now be bought at $175. Kowloon Lands and West Points are unaltered and with. out business. Hongkong Hotels are obtainable at$139 and Orientes at$50. Humphreys Estates have sold at $12 and are on further offer at the rate.
COTTON MILLS-Ewos are easier at Tla, 45 .18 p.o. pm. | sellers, Hongkong Cottons have improved
under renewed enquiries, to $17 buyers.
MISCELLANEOUS.-Green Island Cementa have weskened and can now be obtained at po. pm, $211. Watsons are quieter at $15. Electrics (old) are still on offer at 814, and the new shares can now be obtained at $67. Steam
