Newcbwang bas filled ker requirenients for the jo'es ut and nas invested all her available funds at ir very favourable rate

The Auctions have not chown any great amount of go, but clearances are satisfactory. There is one complaint of the dilatorine a of the Customs in publishing the Import cargoes just now, as it is contended that the estimates of the stocks at present are very misleading in consequence. The niar- ket for Yarn has quieted down after the free transactions reported last werk, but there is really no change in quotations. The generally unexpected news of a shipment on the way of 19,299 bales for this market has naturally not tended to strengt then the position, though it is stated that about half is under contra 18 recently made. Some large purchases of Cotton have put the price up again. It is nominally quoted T'is. Lastings—30 yds., 31 inches, 8.0 to 20. 13,0, but it is doubtful if any more could be
