美國政府規定生不準在校外兼職,因此,欲赴美 升學的學生必須具備足夠金錢,以應付整個學習 年期所需的費用。

一般來說,私立中學每年學費約二千五百至六千 五百美元不等,而兩年制社區學院或初級學院, 每年的學費由一千五百至四千五百美金不等,生 活費則要五千至八千美取地點及生活習怕而不 同文

此外,四年制大學或學院,州立的每年學費三 千五百至七千五百美元,私立的則要六千至一萬

私立的大學或學院的學費不比州立的更爲品. 貴,而大部份州立的學校對海外生或非本州生 (即居住在该州未滿一年)、留收取較高的學費 數額。

此外,學生還要繳交其他費用,如學生活動費來 支持學會及體育活動。若要使用實驗室、錄映室 或其他其他特別設備,製付額外費用。

另外,學生必須購買課本、筆記簿及其他文儀用 具。還些費用每年約四至五百元,研究生所用的 更為昂貴,若要慳錢,則可購買二手的課本。有 少數的大學會要求每位學生買私人電腦並以特別 的紙扣訂購。

̇住食方面,多數學院大學,均為學生提供宿舍 及膳食,而位於小罐及鄉村地方,這些開通常 較取於大城市為低。

海外生在美國的第一年,必須要住在大學宿舍與 一位或以上的學生共用一個房間。不過,有部份 大城市的學院、大學和英語學院,學生可在本, 屋,租金會較校內宿舍便宜,但學生在找尋住所 時,須先準備一個月租和一個月控金。

個人開支則包括郵票、牙刷、肥皂、藥品、報 紙、小食、衣服乾洗、交通、課外活動及娛樂、 等。一般的大學宿舍均設乾洗及小食服務,有些 甚至是自助形式,讓學生自行處理該等事宜。

美國的中學、兩年制學院及大學,其收取海外生 的標準各有差別,即使同類學校之間的入學資格 亦有不同,但托福試成績是必備的。

申請入讀中學的學生份的學校更要求請人有中學 入學測驗(SSAR; Secondary School Admis- sion Test)成績。兩年制的初級學院或社區學 院,申請人要完成中六課程及托福試五百分或以 上,但一般對積分要求較大學為低。若成補稍欠 理想,可先申請進入此類學校就讀,修舉兩年課 程之轉讀大學本科課程。

至於四年制的大學及學院,入學資格為中六程 度,並具備托福五百五十分或以上,部份學校 可能會取錄托福試只有五百分的申請者。只有五 百分的申請者。 TEST),ACT試(另外,一些 梁校要求 AMERICAN COLSAT (SCHO LEGE TEST), #LASTICAPTITUDEAT 試(ACHIEVEMENT TEST)成績。

學費每年加 計開支要準

本港學生赴英留學前,須要計算所需的費用,以 確定有足夠的金錢支付一切開支。

學費方面,每年約增幅百分之十。獨立的延續及 專上教育院的學費,由各自院校釐定,各院校之 間可能相差幅度很大。至於國立學院、大學及理 工學院,每年的學費由政府釐定,數額多少視乎 課程的程度而定。現時各類學費大約如下:

假如學院教育包括住宿及膳食,校方會建議給予 學生零用錢的數目。如果不包括膳食住宿,校方 亦會通知所需費用多少。

十八歲以下的學童,必須預箱一筆費用,以便安 排學生在英國捜尋監護人。這筆費用包括學期中 及聖誕復活節假期,由監護人照顧學童的費用。

此外,學生來往機場的接送費用(假如校方不提 供接送),亦要計劃在開支預算中。每當學年結

束後,學校會放期六星期至三個月的暑假,因此 安排暑期生活或回港渡暑假,也需要預先决定。

生活費方面,若在倫敦讀書,其生活的開支費用, 是全英國般高,特別是租住樓宇或其他住所。在 校園內寄宿,全年不費用,除九個月上課時間之 外,還要加上额外百分之三十三的費用。換言: 之一名單身學生,全年的住宿費用,大約四千 英鎊,已婚夫婦約五千八百英鎊。
