POWERS
To exercise the powers and functions of the Council in regard to slaughterhouses, and to advise on the planning, construction and operation of the new abattoir.
To deal with Urban Council order and procedure and to consider any amendment of the Urban Council Elections Regulations, 1955.
To make recommendations to Government for the naming of new streets and the renaming of existing streets in Hong Kong, Kowloon and New Kowloon.
To exercise the powers and functions of the Council relating to parks; playgrounds; bathing beaches; multi-storey car parks; swimming pools (under the Swimming Pools By-laws and the Victoria Park Swimming Pool By-laws); advertisements; and urban amenities generally, including the putting forward of recommendations for additional street lighting on amenity grounds.
