⚫ LONDON, Sept. 17 (Reuter) --Prior to attending Parlia- ment, Mr. Winston Churchill lunched with His Majesty at Bac- kingham Palace and had a long audience with the King.

When he rose to address the House of Commons, the Prime Minister did not keep the House waiting with a pre- amble. Almost immediately he announced the advance of the Italian Army in Lybia and the expectations of an attempted Ger- man invasion.

LONDON, Sept. 17 (Reuter). The first military awards for gallantry in the "Battle of Britain" were announced to-night in the "London Gazette."

Temporary Second Lieutenant J. D. Kenyon-Hague, of the Scots Guards, gets the Military Cross for heroism on August 18. He was in charge of a detachment at an aerodrome which was attacked by enemy bombers in five successive waves.
