FOUND WARSHIP
TEN of the 65 British volunteers for Fin- land who were caught in Oslo by the German Invasión have got back to Britain. Forty-six are known to have escaped to Stockholm, und the remaining nine, according to the Finnish Aid Bureau in London, are safe.
Two boys who have reached London told how they bluffed their way out of Oslo and hitch-i hiked, across Norway until they came upon a British warship in a fjord.
Nell Muaro, IL devil-may-care London medical student, and Jack Smith, n Norwich clerk, were both 17 when they joined the British | volunteer force to Finland.
THE FUN BEGAN
When they arrived pehce had just been signed. So with 300 others they handed over their rifles and revolvers, and "chumming up" with two of the band, 40-years-old W. H. Tosh, a Scotsman living in Devon, and L. R. Thompson, of Camden Town, they started back for home.
"The fun began when our train was nearing Oslo,"
Mano said at his home at South- vate. N. "We heard a great roaring of aero plane engines, and, looking out of the windows, we saw a dock of bombers. 'Great Scott! yelled. They're German!"
"The train went on, and van into Oslo Sta- tion. Talk about excitement! The place was in a ferment.

'Killers' Angel
NEW YORK.
A CLUE to the murder of beer baron "Dutch" Schultz, five years ago, is believed to have been found during investi- gation of a Brooklyn "cash and bury syndicate." Already fifteen murders have been solved during the investigation. Confessions by twelve of the syndicate's alleged killers, who were arrested last week, are said to reveal that powerful bootlegging, dope and other criminal gangs in New York used the syndicate for years to
quidate "mwanted" people.
It is suggested that Schultz was one of these victins.
He was one of the most powerful) and most heavily guarded of Newį York's ang lenders, but he was shot i down in a New Jersey bar rount.
The Brooklyn District Attorney,¦ Mr. Willon O'Dwyer, announced! that he has ordered the arrest of two more alleged members of the syndi cate on charges of first degree mur- fier.
Abe Rules, said to be one of the roost important members of the syndicate, is reported to have been persuaded by his wife to turn, State) witness.
Farther clues, according to Mr.. O'Dwyer, are expected to be given! by three girls, one if vim is dew: scribe by the polke as "n most éx-! pensive and attinctive.dresser,?" Me! O'Dwyer will not tell their names.
