There is a dispute between the records given by several well-known publications. Whittaker's Almanac for 1934 gives L Spence of U.S.A., as holder of the record with a time of 2 minutes 25 1/5 seconds, supposed to have been set up in 1927, while earlier issues of the same book acknowledge Walter Spence's time of 2 minutes 31 4/5 seconds, established in 1927.

Owing to the state of the green the match on the Kowloon D. G. C. green between T. Ferguson and H. Gittins and W. E. Hollands and J. J. Gregory was not re- sumed yesterday but will most probably be continued to-day.

The match between A. E. Carey partnered by W. Glendenning and T. R. Hunter partnered by L. Mist, which was postponed from Wednesday is to be played this afternoon on the Craigengower C. C. green.
