"The Shadow", which is now at the King's Theatro, was Elizabeth Allan's first work in a picture for nearly four months. She had spent the intervan- ing limo on a stage tour, starring opposite Ivor Novello in his success- ful play "I Lived With You." She had previously played opposite Novello at Twickenham in a fim, "The Lodger", and he was so impressed by her acting capabilities and charm that he invited her thers and then to make, this tour. "Lizzie" Allan was marvellous in, the part, ad both she and Ivor were given a wonderful reception in every town they visited. She was also to have appeared in the film version of "I Lived With You", but Hollyword realised her ability and claimed her, leaving Ivor to find another leading Indy,
