The wedding was one of the most popular functions in Peking society, Mademoiselle de Warzae is wearing the court dross in which she was presented a B kingham Palace.

JAPANESE RESERVES IN PEKING.-Japanese resi- dents of Peking have formed a volunteer protective alliance, intended to serve in case of emergency in assisting tho'regular Japanese Legation Guard. This shows a group of the volun- teers at their first rifle practice. The reservists are under the command of General Banzai, former military advisor to ex-President Tsao Kun.
