The proposal for the starting of
a steamship navigation service between China and Belgium bas been underconsideration for some hime, and it is how learned that the Waichiacpu and the Belgian Legation have lately been in close consultation on this matter. De- finite plaas and regulations for the new service have been drawn up. The service will maintain two separate navigation routes. from Shanghai and Hongkong to Belgium via Singapore, Bombay aad Mediterranean Sea, and from Shanghai eastward to Japan. Panama Canal, New York and Liverpool to Belgium. The chart. er will be registered shortly, and capital for the enterprise has been raised.
